This antique wool winder dates from the first half of the nineteenth century. It is of a nice size and retains its attractive original green paintwork. It is adjustable and retains a wooden securing peg. The winder spins.

Condition: Overall in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the finish as might be expected. There are some signs of restoration and repair in places - some of the wire fixings look to have been replaced and the top finial is a more modern replacement. There is some shrinkage cracking to the lower spinning joint.
