Ebony Anglo/Indian Writing Slope circa 1820
A Regency period circa 1820 Anglo/Indian writing slope.
Constructed throughout with solid ebony the outer surfaces have been reeded producing an elegant box. Upon opening the writing surface is revealed with further storage compartments and three sweet little drawers.
At some stage the baize surface has been replaced and the key being lost to time means a none working lock. We don't think either of these facts hold this item back and a good application of bees wax has brought out the true colour of the wood leaving a lovely deep shine.
