Ebony Desk Set - Aesthetic Period - c1880

A very pleasing desk set in ebony c1880.

With reeded sides and a lower letter drawer this desk set presents excellently. Quartered corner recesses with lids flank lift out pen rests. Carved lids for each match the inkwell recess covers.

In the centre section there is a lidded box above which a flying quill-pen support provides space for four writing tools. The piece is tooled and detailed throughout.

A lovely desk accessory and collectors piece. The perfect finishing touch to any desk area.
