Edwardian Brass Light Fitting Up Lighter
This is an incredibly large and imposing shade (up lighter) to go over an horizontal strip light or line of bulbs. It looks to be the sort of thing that would have come from a Grand Hotel, though I do not know the provenance. You could imagine it over a large bathroom mirror or in an alcove. The frame of the shade is made in solid brass. It is hard to date brass but I would expect that it was made in the last fifty or sixty years, perhaps older still.
The shade has a brass shaped cornice in a classical design. There are folliat and thistle designs to each end. The glass is opaque. I replaced the glass, so it is perfect. There is glass on all ends and to bottom and front.
This shade screws to the wall over the top of a strip light. It would look magnificent in a bathroom over a bathroom mirror.
I have two of these shades. They are identical. If you are interested in both do let me know.
The light shade is 67.5 inches wide by 7 inches wide and 7 inches deep.

If you require a courier to deliver, do not despair as it is a lot easier to arrange than you would imagine and probably a lot cheaper as well. Once you have booked with them they will get in touch with me directly for collection so you only need concern yourself with the delivery date to you.
