Edwardian Carlton House Desk
A good quality Edwardian figured mahogany freestanding Carlton House desk. The upper section with a brass gallery above the shaped superstructure which houses the 4 cockbeaded drawers, 2 small concave shaped cupboard doors and the serpentine shaped falls with 2 conforming drawers below.
The lower section having a pull out writing slide which retains it’s original black tooled leather and ivorine finger pulls. The kneehole having an arrangement of 5 figured mahogany and cockbeaded drawers with decorative pierced corner brackets. The whole raised on square tapering legs with carved capitals, pierced brackets and spade feet. In very good original condition and retaining all the original brass handles and working locks with keys. Dimensions:- Max.Height…38’’/ 97cm. Width…42’’/ 107cm. Depth…21’’/ 53.5cm.
