Edwardian 'fiddle Back' Mahogany Partners Desk

Superior quality Edwardian Partners Desk in the Georgian manner, in attractively grained 'fiddle back' mahogany, having green cow hide inset top, an arrangement of drawers and cupboards to each side, brass swan neck handles, and raised on bracket feet. This desk has been photographed in its original configuration so that the front and rear are the same, i.e. six drawers and one cupboard to each side. It is, however, perfectly possible to reposition the pedestals so that the front would have nine drawers and the rear three drawers and two cupboards.

Condition This item is in original structural condition. The polish has been re-finished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. The hide inset and the castors have been replaced. There is a small mark caused by a carelessly placed cup in one corner of the leather, only visible from certain angles and not serious or stained. There is also a small mark to the centre of each drawer, presumably from a previous alternative handle. As can be seen from the drawer detail photograph, this is once again not serious or unsightly.
