Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Bow Front Harrods Desk
A lovely Edwardian inlaid mahogany writing desk. We date this desk to the early 20th century.
The desk sits on eight slender downward tapered legs. The legs all sit on brass castors.
There is a label inside the drawer for Harrod’s of London.
The desk has a shapely front and comprises a central drawer over a knee hole area, the drawer is flanked by a three drawer pedestal at each side. The drawers are fitted with locks (key is supplied).
The top is fitted with a brown leather writing area with gold tooling. The drawer edges and top surface of the desk have an inlaid edge.
The desk has an overall height of 30.5" (77cm), a width of 48" (122cm) and a depth of 25" (63cm) at the deepest.
This lovely mahogany desk remains in very good solid condition. The top leather writing surface has some minor wear and marks. There is some minor mellowing to the finish and a few tiny bits of veneer is missing.
This remains a very stylish and elegant antique mahogany desk. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
