Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Edwardian mahogany leather office chair, which has been newly upholstered, circa 1910, in excellent condition. The swivel office chair has been newly upholstered to a professional standard in top quality full grain sage green leather, finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The Edwardian mahogany leather office chair is decorated with an upholstered curved bar back, twin padded backrest panels and a comfortable newly sprung over-stuffed seat, united by solid mahogany shaped armrests. The back panels are decorated with fine floral carvings. The mahogany desk chair frame has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The revolving office chair sits on four shaped mahogany legs that terminate on its original brass castors, which are in good working condition.
The mahogany leather office chair incorporates the original mechanism allowing it to rotate 360 degrees and recline backwards. The seat height can be adjusted by turning a shaped metal tap nut on the underside of the chair, while the reclining tension can be adjusted by turning the small wheel at the back of the mechanism. The Edwardian desk chair mechanism is in excellent working order, having been stripped down, cleaned and service.
This mahogany leather office chair would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it is so comfortable. This beautiful desk chair is extremely comfortable to sit on and would certainly grace any home.
