Edwardian Mahogany Nest of Inlaid Tables (c. 1901)
This is a superb quality set of three Edwardian mahogany inlaid nests of antique tables with great proportions, circa 1901 - 1910.

This is a superb quality set of four Edwardian mahogany inlaid nests of tables with great proportions, circa 1901 - 1910. Each of the tabletops is inlaid with intricate satinwood cross banding inlay and the tops are finished with a thumb-moulded edge. Each of the three tables slides comfortably into each other. The nest of tables is supported by refined ring turned mahogany legs, which in turn are supported by cross stretchers and turned feet. The nest of tables boast a rich mahogany colour and they are in excellent robust condition. This is an extremely useful piece of antique furniture and a great asset to have in any office, living room or hallway and it consumes very little space.
It has a beautiful deep rich patina, which has been generated by the years of cleaning and care it has received. This truly is a very beautiful item with quality construction and is original throughout. It is rare to see one in such good condition. This item would certainly grace any home. This nest of tables is in excellent robust condition. The tables slide into each other smoothly. The polish finish in excellent condition and there is no missing satinwood string or cross-banded inlay. There are no water marks or ink stains to the tabletops. The legs are sturdy and there have been no breaks to the legs, stretchers or feet. This item is free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
