Superb Edwardian carved Monk’s bench / hall seat / settle made from solid oak. This bench can be transformed into a side table when the backrest is lifted and placed on the arms that are supported by beautifully turned supports. The panels on the backrest, front and sides of the base are all decorated with stunning floral designed carvings. The seat lifts to provide storage for boots, shoes, bags etc. This is not only beautiful to look at it is a very practical piece of antique furniture of small proportion that will fit in most hallways.
