Edwardian Silver Plated Toast Rack, Atkin Bros

This is a good quality Edwardian Silver Plated 4 Slice Toast Rack of arched design, reminiscent of gothic church windows, which dates to the early years of the 20th century.
The toast rack is made in Sheffield by Atkin Brothers, a long established firm of silversmiths, cutlers and electroplaters that traced their foundation to the late 18th century and remained in business up until the late 1950s. Their silver plate is always of good quality.
Condition is good with no dings, dents or plate loss. The bar at one end is very slightly out of shape compared to the others but it doesn\'t affect the function in any way. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The toast rack is 8.9cm / 3.5ins long, 6.5cm / 2.6ins wide and 11.5cm / 4.5ins high to the top of the handle. It weighs 151.9g / 5.3oz.
The marks on the bottom show the EPNS stamp for electroplated nickel silver, ie silver plate, the HA, EA, FA makers\' mark for Harry Atkin, Edward Atkin & Frank Atkin of Atkin Brothers and the hand holding a trio of ostrich feathers, which was the trademark they were using in this period.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
