Edwards and Roberts Inlaid Desk
A superb quality Sheraton revival freestanding mahogany and inlaid kneehole desk from the renown workshops of Edwards and Roberts. The satinwood cross banded top with best quality olive green leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. The 7 graduated drawers all having floral marquetry inlay, satinwood banding and brass ring handles. The stiles with further satinwood banding and graduated inlaid harebells and oval patrae. The outsides and insides of the pedestals have satinwood banding with boxwood and ebony stringing. The kneehole with satinwood fan inlaid spandrels. The whole standing on 6 square tapered and inlaid legs with brass square cup castors. Condition - Very good with working locks and keys.
