Elegant English writing desk from the second half of the 19th century. Finished for the center furniture with a pleasantly inlaid in walnut, maple, palisander, mahogany and fruitwood of excellent quality. Writing desk constructed in two separate bodies to facilitate movement and placement in the home. Furniture adorned with gilded and chiselled brass top rings and nozzles. Writing desk equipped with 5 drawers in the lower part and 8 small drawers in the upper part. Writing top in leather of good size and service. Upper body complete with 6 central compartments for documents. Writing desk supported by 8 inlaid legs in the shape of an inverted pyramid resting on wheels (see photo). Writing desk of excellent proportions, ideal for placing in a living room or study, for antique dealers and interior decorators. Missing keys, furniture that shows some small signs of restoration work and some signs of aging, structurally sound, overall in good state of conservation. As each of our products will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and warranty and photographic documentation. Every item will be packed in a custom-made wooden box.
