This is a very nice quality Edwardian Satinwood screen with ebony inlaid detail dating from around 1900. The Satinwood has a most beautiful colour and excellent patina throughout so this presents as a very smart piece. The quality is evident in the unusual tambour rolling solid Satinwood internal joints that work like a roll top desk between the hinges giving a seamless look to the piece when opening or closing the screen. The attractive fabric is the original arch repeat design in a gold on sand, there is some age discolouration to the fabric as would be expected but not detracting from the beauty of the piece. It should be relatively easy to recover in a fabric of your own should you wish it.

The screen has nice proportions measuring just 5 feet in height (153 cms) each panel being 18” wide (46 cms).
