Emile H. Meyer (FRENCH, 1823-1893) superb artwork

A wonderful, huge artwork by Emile H. Meyer (FRENCH, 1823-1893)
Presented in it's original, magnificent, period frame.
Beautifully executed, a quite stunning, detailed work of art.
The quality of work is excellent.
In super condition and ready to hang.
The painting has been, restored historically as it had been ripped ironically by cats!
It has been professionally repaired and relined.
The repairs have been carried out sympathetically and we feel, do not detract from what is never the less an exceptional work.
The original frame has had numerous historic repairs.
What we like out this though is that the repairs have never been done to restore the frame to a 'new' condition.
The frame still has signs of age and minor imperfection and wear.
The solid oak frame bears an artist plate namely 'E Meyer'
The painting is clearly signed.
Additionally there is an original picture framers label (Henri Jens) verso.
There is an old auction house stencil number verso.
Furthermore there is illegible pencil inscription to the frame (verso)
The whole being of considerable weight. It is a very large & substantial piece.
The frame alone is of significant value due to it's excellent condition & quality.
