A lovely antique walnut French bedside cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.

The cabinet sits four turned feet and has a lovely fixed marble top of cream and reds.

The cabinet has a drawer over a cupboard, the cupboard is fitted with a mid height fixed shelf.

The cabinet has a bowed shaped front with pillars at the front corners, there are decorative gilded mouldings applied at the top and base of the pillars. The door and side panels have an inlaid design with an oval floral inlay on the door. The door and drawer have gilded drop handles.

The cabinet has an overall height of 32.5" (83cm), a width of 14" (35cm) and a depth of 19" (48cm).

This attractive cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear to the marble including a chip at the rear left hand corner, to the rear of the right hand side there is an old repaired crack and a small indent where some of the filler has come out. There are some old wormholes to the rear which we have treated twice to make sure. The outer sides have some minor mellowing to the finish.

This remains a very stylish & elegant cabinet. It could serve well as either a bedside cabinet or as a side cabinet. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
