English Antique Oddfellows Oak Box
Late Georgian Antique Odd Fellows Oak Box.
This antique oak box relates to the Oddfellows organisation and features the 'heart in hand' symbol inlaid in the top. The inside of the lid has the original paper label, titled 'Nottingham Ancient Imperial United Order of Odd Fellows' and
dated Oct 15th 1844. It includes instructions about the type of secret code to be used.
This unusual English antique box has swan neck brass carrying handles and stands on bracket feet.
In very good condition.
