Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany and burgundy leather revolving office armchair, circa 1910, in good condition. The chair features an upholstered mahogany curved back, featuring shaped wraparound arms with curved front supports. The back and oak seat frame is upholstered in top quality burgundy red Rexene leather, which has been finished with piping (sign of quality) and hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The underside of the seat is webbed in the traditional manner. The chair sits on four splayed mahogany legs that terminate on brass castors. The chair rotates 360 degrees the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The chair mechanism is in good working order. The chair also features a reclining action. The reclining tension can also be adjusted. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on.
This item features a rich brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
The chair and mechanism is in good working condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The back and seat are upholstered in top quality burgundy red Rexene leather, which has been finished with piping (sign of quality) and hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The underside of the seat is webbed in the traditional manner. The Rexene leather is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear and tear, damage or holes etc. The reclining and adjustable height mechanism is in good working order. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair features a medium brown mahogany colour, having been cleaned and polished in our workshops. The chair’s brass castors are also in good condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
