English Officers 1845 Patt Sword
An English pattern 1845 Officers sword. The hilt and scabbard test as solid silver although II cannot find a hall mark.Silver without a hall mark can be described as silver if it was made before 1939.However, to save any argument and be fair II am describing this sword as silver plated. I believe that the blade was etched at one time but this etching has been cleaned off. A method often used by Wilkinson if a sword was sent to them with a rusty blade to be cleaned up. The sword is in untouched condition and a lot of the silver has a black patina. The scabbard has some dents and the drag shows lots of use. This sword will look most impressive when cleaned.Post cost will be £25.You must be over the age of 18years to buy this sword.
