An nice Antique, Victorian, English Silver Pocket Watch made by E Richard of Ryde on the Isle of Wight, and dating from c1877.
The silver watch case is in good condition. It has engine turned engraving to the rear and a central cartouche that is free of initials. It is hallmaked with the Lion Passant silver mark, the Birmingham town mark, the maker's mark "ALD" for A L Dennison and the date letter "c" for 1877/78.
The English Lever movement is signed by the maker "E Richard, Ryde" and has the serial number 387841. It is key wound and set with the key provided.
The white enamel dial is in good condition with minor hairlines near the edge at four o'clock.
