English Silver Snuff Box, London c1929
A GOOD QUALITY, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER SNUFF BOX, LONDON,
A very good quality, English Silver Snuff Box made by Saunders & Shepherd of London.
The box was assayed in London, hallmarked with the maker's mark "CSFS" for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "o" for 1929/30.
The exterior of the box with engine turned engraving to top and bottom with a reeded finish to all sides.
The box measures 78mm x 48mm x 18mm.
The weight is 91.0g/3.20oz/2.92ozt.
The box is in excellent condition.
