A top quality Victorian Walnut single tea caddy dating to around 1860. The caddy is covered in superb quality brass mounts, all beautifully decorated and attached to the caddy with tiny brass screws, a true sign of quality. The box has the mounts on the back too, another sign of a quality example.

What of course makes this a highly collectible box is the wonderful classical Wedgwood or Jasperware plaque to the lid and more unusual is the colour being a pale green.

The box opens to reveal decorated hinges and lock and the original taffeta lining to the interior of the lid. There is a single compartment topped with a lid and retaining it's original finish on the inside of the compartment.

Complete with a working key, this gem is in superb condition. 5" x 4" x 4".
