A 9 inch salad plate by Eric Ravilious for Wedgwood featuring a train emerging from a tunnel against a Windsor Grey ground. Designed by Ravilious in the 1930's but not issued by Wedgwood until the 1950's. No chips, cracks or crazing,but some light utensil scratches visible when viewed close up and tilted to the light. Barely worth a mention, but a minute glaze scratch on the bottom rim which I have tried to show in photo 2. Displays beautifully. Stamped '54'
