This is a superb quality Victorian Mahogany sofa that dates from around 1870. The beautifully carved cabriole mahogany exposed frame has a good rich colour and pleasing patination. The sofa is in good sound order and is raised on its original brass castors. The fabric although a little tired and sun faded, is quite serviceable and the sofa has a great look. You could however have it recovered in a fabric of your choice and it would be well worth doing as it has is a fine and handsome piece. The sofa is a grand size and measures a full 7 feet in length 29" high and is 32" deep. The substantial seating area measures 70" wide between the arms and is 22" in depth.
