Exceptional 18thC Welsh Oak Dresser Base Dresser Welsh oak %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
An absolutely stunning 5ft Welsh oak Pot-board Dresser from the upper Towy Valley Carmarthenshire c1780.
Quite simply an incredibly beautiful dresser of the most striking form with wonderfully figured timber throughout. Without doubt the one of the best example of a dresser from this region that we have ever seen.
Condition is exceptional with not a dowel or nail out of place and the colour, patina and skin are breathtaking. It stands at full original height, is superbly solid and sturdy and is level and true. All drawers run smoothly and are nice and clean inside. The addition of small spice drawers (the central one being false to create the perfect balance) is just gorgeous and adds a real charm to this already special piece.

Length 5ft = 153cm. Height 34.5”” = 88cm. Depth 17” = 43cm.

Delivery available, price dependant on location or collection from our Antiques Shop is always welcomed.
