Fabulous Hallmarked Gold Antique Locket 1909
A fabulous fully hallmarked gold antique locket. This Birmingham assayed piece was crafted in 1909. Delightful embellishments adorn both sides of this locket. Beautifully engraved acanthus and ivy leaves form an enchanting design which is steeped in symbolism. Acanthus leaves have symbolised immortality and longevity since ancient times. Ivy leaves represent everlasting love and deep friendship. This piece is in superb condition. The interior case contains recesses for photographs, portraits or a lock of hair. The original right hand frame is in place.
We have included a 50 cm (20 inch) vermeil necklace, so that this antique locket can be worn immediately. The locket is sound in every way and closes securely.
