Fabulous Large Pair Chinese Famille Rose Opium Jar
This is a fine pair of early 20th Century Chinese Opium Jars in perfect condition with original covers all beautifully hand painted in the Famille Rose taste.
The jars are of a substantial scale with striking bold colours depicting pheasants and butterflies in foliage and geisha in a Japanese interior scene. The panels are framed with dense borders of colourful flowers that include butterflies chrysanthemum and many other varieties. They both are signed with a four character mark to the base.
These are a most imposing pair which stand 26 cms high and are 20 cms in diameter.
