This is a fine imposing 19th Century Dutch marquetry chest with outstanding inlaid detail to both the front and sides. The chest has a wonderful rich colour to the mahogany and the satinwood inlay is a delightful golden colour. The drawers and surrounding cabinet have scrolling floral and leaf detail whilst the sides have stunning inlay framed panels of urns issuing flowers. The drawers have their original handles, all in good order and the piece is in lovely condition throughout, ready for use.
The chest is substantial in size measuring 153 cms high 105 cms wide by 47 cms deep.
