A fine 19th.Century figured mahogany wine cellarette of classical sarcophagus form. The lid having a wonderful carved top with various fruits including grapes, plums, melons and pears. The lid lifts to reveal the 8 internal compartments for wine and the cellarette benefits from having good quality brass hinges with working lock and key. The whole raised on superb turned and carved feet with original sunken brass casters. Beautiful original finish with a lovely warm, glowing patina. Condition - fine and original.
