A fine quality pair of inlaid mahogany display cabinets from the Edwardian period. Exceptionally well made in the Sheraton revival style using the best, dense, mahogany timber and attractive veneers. These cabinets must surely have been made by a high quality London firm of cabinet makers such as Maple and Co, or Edwards and Roberts. Each cabinet has a single glazed door which opens to access the lined and shelved display space. The glass shelves can be adjusted in terms of height and the cabinet doors are lockable keys are supplied. The cabinets are decorated with inlaid stringing throughout and also with panels of attractive veneers. The oval panels to the cupboard doors are particularly appealing being a mix of mahogany , fiddle-back mahogany, and flame mahogany veneers. They stand on elegant tapering legs which terminate in spade feet.
It is quite rare to find a pair of cabinets of this quality. They are offered for sale in excellent original condition with wonderful colour and patina.
