A fine mezzotint after the original painting by George Romney. The print shows this famous painting, charming in sentiment and neo-classical in design, of the children of Granville, 2nd Earl Gower, afterwards first Marquess of Stafford. The work is a masterpiece of English Neoclassical painting by one of our finest portrait artists. The print is produced in exquisite detail and is signed by the artist Ellen Jowett (b.1874) it also has the ENP blind stamp. The print is in good condition with the odd light mark and is mounted in the original mount and gilt frame. The whole is in ready to hang condition. C.1900.
