We are pleased to present this fine quality Marine Oil on Canvas, which is, sadly, by an unknowl artist. The painting depicts the sea crashing on the rocks in the foreground, while there is a tongue of land visible to the left of the horizon It looks like a breezy day and there are some isolated small sailing boats or fishing boats out to sea. The artist has masterfully captured the colour changes as the sea ebbs and flows and crashes on the rocks throwing up spray.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any information about the artist, save to say that they were very talented. The painting is stretched on a plain wooden stretcher and there are no clues to the identity of the artist there either, just some pencil code numbers.

The painting has been newly framed in a 3 inch ivory painted wooden frame, with pale grey line decorations, as shown. It will be supplied with new brass hangers, new brass picture wire and will be ready to hang. As there is nothing to see on the back of the canvas, as it is in perfect condition, we haven't shown a picture in this instance, but concentrated on showing more of the painting itself. A photo of the back is available on request.
