Fine quality William IVth globe on rosewood stand
A fine quality 19th century (circa 1835) William IVth globe on rosewood stand, the Swedish Columbus Jordglob globe probably with later covering with updated information.
The globe being supported by a fine quality rosewood column with tri-form base consisting of a gadrooned collar to the top leading down to a reeded and tapered column with acanthus carved decoration and gadrooned collar below.
This leads down to the tri-form base consisting of fine quality rosewood veneers with quarter turned rosewood edge and all supported on three carved and turned feet.
This globe is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home, office of library etc.
