Finely Carved 19th c. Oak Wall Bracket Gargoyles

We are offering for sale this very finely carved 19th Century dark Oak Wall Bracket, which is carved in a mediaeval style, with a central lion mask carving and a cherub or putto to the right hand side, and a woman's head apparently wearing a crown to the left. The mask heads are executed very much in the style of gargoyles.
The bracket could be used to suport a bracket antique clock, or to display a vase, bust or bronze. There is a maker's mark on the heavy brass hanging bracket, which appears to be the original and it bears a mark on three ovals, as well as the numbers 367. Unfortunately the marks inside the ovals are illegible.
Please note that the oak below the top surface is darker than it appears in the photographs and we would describe it as warm dark oak, while the top surface, due to the effect of light is a warmer mid oak.
Provenance: Court Lodge, Lamberhurst, Kent
Max width of top shelf: 16 1/8" - 41cm
Width at back of top shelf: 14 3/8" - 36.5cm
Depth of top shelf: 8 3/4" - 22.25cm
Height: 13" - 33cm
Condition: Very very good. There is no damage, missing pieces or woodworm, only minute signs of use consistent with age. It has been sympathetically waxed and polished and is now ready to hang.
