Four Country Hepplewhite Dining Chairs c.1800 %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Set of four small late Georgian mahogany cottage dining chairs c.1800. The design is a simple country vernacular interpretation of a Hepplewhite chair, with a nicely arched top rail and pierced back splat. Over well figured single piece board seats (height 17") with a moulded edge and slight raised lip (to help hold a loose cushion perhaps). Tapering square legs joined with stretchers to the sides, centre and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions: Width 19½" Height 35" Depth 15".
