Lovely set of four George III ash ladder back dining chairs c.1790. Tall backs with a shaped top rail over four shaped and slightly curved rungs between long turned stiles. Woven rush seats (17½” height) raised on front legs with turned tops and pad feet. Joined with stretchers to all four sides for strength, note the double stretchers at the sides and the attractive bulbous turned detail to the front. Excellent colour and condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions: width 19”, depth 16″, height 38″.
