A fine pair of 19th century Qing Dynasty Chinese gouache pith paintings of a hunting scene and men counting money around a table in attractive gilt frames. The hunting scene depicts a man and two children hunting birds flying over trees, with the man possibly instructing his older child in honing his technique. The second scene shows three men in blue tunics counting and receiving money from two men in green tunics.

Dimensions: Frame 38 x 49.5 cm

Weight 1.603 & 1.580 kg for a combined weight of 3.183 kg

Condition: Very good antique condition with bright colours against a white background. The paintings are housed within decorative mounts and hand-painted gilt wood fames which are all in excellent condition. They may have been framed in Hong Kong about 20 to 30 years ago. They are ready to hang.
