French 1845 pattern Infantry Officers sword in steel scabbard. Cast brass pierced hilt with brass wire bound shagreen grip. Fullered, curved blade with arsenal marks and engraved with makers name on the spine. Blade has rust staining and scabbard is also stained with areas of pitting. Tip of blade possibly reduced slightly.

Approximately 93.5cm overall and blade 73.5cm.
