French 19thc Louis XVI style Kingwood commode
A French late 19th century Louis XVI style Kingwood breakfront commode.
The commode consists of a marble top of breakfront shape with moulded edge which is in good condition with evidence of old repairs.
This leads down to three long drawers with Kingwood veneered panels, mahogany edging and stringing with original gilt metal handles and ormolu escutcheons with three original keys and central ormolu mount below.
The commode has shaped corners with decorative ormolu mounts to the top with decorative Kingwood panels to the side and is supported on cabriole legs to the front with with ormolu sabots.
This piece is in excellent condition, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
