A Excellent Quality made 8 Day French Striking Carriage Clock
would date to early 20th century With original platform Escapement
Working fine and striking correctly
Lovely Heavy made polished Brass case , Strong handle
Nice curved front design
Retailer's name rubbed on the dial, I believe it to be Swales and sons
who did have a shop in Regent St London
The antique clock has been running fine and keeping time both Springs take a full wind
Strikes correctly Once on the half hour full strikes on the hour
Nice thick Oval bezelled glass over the platform
Classic Carriage clock white dial, looks in very good condition
Black numerals black steel hands
Door opens and closes fine ,Stands on 4 strong rounded feet
This is the condition the clock came to me in all I have done is given it a light polish
not touched the movement with working fine. Stands 5.1/4" tall plus the handle x 3.1/2"
Comes with a Clock key Good weight to the clock 1.5 KGs
