French Bleached Kidney Shape Dressing Table

Lovely French bleached mahogany kidney shape dressing table in the Neo Classical style, circa 1900 and with its original and very beautiful brass sconce brackets with newly rewired lights and bevelled oval mirror.
The bleached mahogany and beeswaxed finish is lovely and a nice change from the typical much darker mahogany tone, so this will blend well with other woods and painted antique furniture.
Good condition with some of the usual veneer nibbles you get with ageing gracefully and a good solid frame. The original bevelled mirror is clear other than a few foxing spots to the lefthand side. The drawer you will see has had some veneer repairs over time, but these are hidden under the lip of the top so not noticeable. None of any concern, but pointing them out to you.
Practical size and a great decor piece.

49 inches or 124.5 cm total height
38 3/4 inches or 98.5 cm wide
19 inches or 48 cm deep
29 1/4 inches or 74.5 cm table top height
25 inches or 63.5 cm kneehole height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
