French Campaign Carriage Clock 15 Day Movement

French campaign carriage clock 15 day movement, striking on a bell, standing 24.5cm high with the handle up.
French round plate movement with silk suspended pendulum, locking plate striking mechanism, striking the hours and half hours on a bell. The white enamel dial signed Rochet A Paris is in excellent condition, displaying the hours in Roman Numerals, indicated with spade style hands and is signed.
The hardwood case is inlaid with rosewood box stringing and floral designs to the lower front and the top of the case, a glass panels can be found at the top and both sides of the case with a gilded carrying handle. The front glass panel slides upwards to allow time adjustment and winding of the clock.
These type of carriage clocks were used during Napoleonic campaigns by French Army Officers. A full strip down and service has been carried out by the Clockbarn, this item is sold with 12 months guarantee.
