A pretty pair of antique French "dormeuses" earrings this style of earrings was very popular in France in the early 1900s. The diamonds are Old European cut (taille ancienne) and weigh a total of 0.80ct. They are set in platinum and 18ct gold with the larger diamond suspended from a link enabling it to move. They have a very secure closing system, and as their name, "dormeuses" or "sleepers" implies, they can be worn constantly. Marked with French control marks for platinum and 18ct gold. They are in excellent condition.
