Antique Late 19th Century French Mahogany & Walnut Inlaid & Gilt Armoire and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top above a beautifully cross band frieze with walnut inlay and gilt mounts to each corner and with two full length and shaped mirrored doors with cross banded and inlaid framework and ornate gilt handles with original keys and inlaid central divide. Internally there is a hanging rail above four original mahogany and walnut fronted shelves all of which are fully adjustable and removable. To the base there are two small drawers both of which are mahogany lined and with original keys. There is a long single drawer to the base which is mahogany lined with gilt handles and walnut inlay and with gilt mounts to each corner it stands on brass mounted feet. It has parquetry and cross banded sides. This is a superb quality Armoire and completely separates for ease of transporting.

Measures 90" high x 21" deep x internal depth 17.5" x 52" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
