A splendid mid 19th century French mahogany brass inlaid bookcase. In the Directoire style. Very good construction in solid mahogany with mahogany veneers onto a solid oak carcas. Embellished throughout with brass moldings and inlay. With a pair of doors (lockable, key supplied) which open to access a shelved interior giving generous display capacity. The doors are flanked by a pair of pilasters, inset with brass flutings. All surmounted by dome topped cornice. Offered for sale in excellent condition, cleaned , waxed and polished in our workshops. With a good great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
