This is an attractive and good quality antique French provincial mahogany side table from the 2nd Empire period, circa 1860.

This is an attractive and good quality antique French provincial mahogany side table from the 2nd Empire period, circa 1860. This table would most likely have been used in a country property in France. The table features a beautiful mahogany figured top, which has a stunning colour & grain configuration. The working drawer, which features turned wooden knobs, closes flush to the frame. The drawer is oak lined and hand dovetailed. Below the drawer, four very pretty ring turned tapered legs support the table.
This item features a superb rich dark mahogany colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition This table is in excellent original condition. There are no stains or cup marks to the top of the table. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The working drawer is oak lined and hand dovetailed. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The table boasts a fantastic colour and patination. This table is solid in joint and ready to use.
