Louis XV style French marble top bombe commode or chest of drawers c.1950. Inch thick pale marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge over two large oak lined drawers. Bombe shaped chest with inlaid floral marquetry decoration to the front and sides laid into symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers with crossbanded borders. Large brass handles and escutcheon plates and large brass mounts to the front corners extending all the way to the feet. With another mount at the centre of the shaped apron to the bottom drawer. Some minor wear and repairs, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
