French Marquetry Bracket Clock

Circa 1820, monumental sized French bracket antique clock with its large ormolu canopy depicting a basket with flower heads on it. Beneath this the clock itself has a large white and black enamelled face with hand cut gilded hands. There is a makers name on top, two winding holes and both Roman and Arabic numerals. The case is profusely inlaid with floral marquetry on all sides and is completely encased in high Rococo style ormolu mounts. Inside, the back of the clock also has floral marquetry. The sound board on the side is stylish open fretwork ormolu with fabric behind it. The clock is bombe shaped and stands on a very elegant wall bracket which again is smothered in ormolu mounts and finishes with an extended piece of ormolu similar to that on the top. The clock has been serviced and is working.
