Unusual French Milliners Hat Band Stretcher, Brass Gauge

This is a rare piece, it was used in Millinery to stretch hat bands, there is a scissor action wooden grip with an brass etched gauge which expands the outer brass brand band to stretch the circumference of a hat

The Stretcher is in good sound used condition and it is still in very usable condition, the stretcher is 1” thick and stretches from a diameter of 6” up to 7”
