French Porcelain And Ormolu Mantel Clock

A fine antique clock of small proportions, the original gilding and gros bleu porcelain panels all in excellent original condition. The deep blue of the porcelain contrasts vividly with the gilt adornments.
The 3¼-inch blue porcelain dial is set with tiny turquoise, ruby and pearl-like jewels to the painted giltwork.
The main porcelain panel depicts a neo-classical scene of temple ruins.
The French 8-day two train movement strikes the hours and the passing of the half hours on a bell. There is a brocot regulation arbor above the numeral XII, for fine timing adjustment.
Height 13¼ inches (34cms)
Width 9 inches (23cms)
Depth 5 inches (13cms)
The movement is be overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years. We are proud to be one of the UK’s finest suppliers of high quality Antique Clocks. We are based in Somerset, but also serve the rest of the UK. We are also delighted to have a number of overseas customers.
